Participation at Golden 50 NHRA Winternationals
January 20, 2010 - For Immediate Release
Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation and the National Hot Rod Association announced the two organizations are working
together to provide a venue to further the reach of the PROJECT 1320 film documentary series during the 50th annual
Kragen O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals, held at the historic Auto Club Raceway at Pomona Feb. 11-14, 2010.
The National Hot Rod Association will be providing a booth space to the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation within the ìGolden 50 Corralî area,
which will allow the foundation to interact with the visitors to what promises to be a very popular area over the course of the weekend.
The ìGolden 50 Corralî will feature many of the important cars of the history of drag racing, restored for live exhibitions such as the popular
ìCacklefestsî held at many nostalgia events. In addition to the historic vehicles, many of the drivers which made them famous will be attending.
ìNHRA supports the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation and PROJECT 1320,î said Jerry Archambeault, Vice President for Public Relations and Communications
for the National Hot Rod Association. ìWe hope the foundationís presence in the ëGolden 50 Corralí will help move the mission forward.î
ìThe Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is extremely pleased to be included in the ëGolden 50 Corralí portion of the 50th Anniversary of the
Winternationals,î said Traci Hrudka, Chairman of the foundation. ìThe ëWintersí have always been a very special event, but this golden anniversary
will be even more so.
ìWe want to thank the National Hot Rod Association for allowing us to be a part of the entire affair, and see the participation in the ëGolden 50 Corralí
area as an ideal opportunity to project our story to thousands of drag racing fans, who recall the legends and their exploits.
Additionally, the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation will have a presence at the ìNight of Championsî presented by the Automobile Club of Southern
California gala dinner at the Wally Parks-NHRA Motorsports Museum at the Los Angeles County Fairplex on Friday evening, February 12. Prior to the dinner,
Ms. Hrudka and several members of the Board of Directors, along with the legendary Linda Vaughn will be attending author Brian Taylorís first book signing
for Crazy Horses, the story of drag racing in Great Britain. Mr. Taylor is also chairman of the Allard-Chrysler Action Group, which is restoring the Allard-Chrysler
dragster, Britainís and Europeís first drag racing vehicle, in conjunction with the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.
