Moroso Performance Supports Project 1320
February 03 , 2010 - For Immediate Release
Traci Hrudka, Chairman of the Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation has announced that long-time performance industry
icon, Moroso Performance Products, Inc. (Guilford, Conn.) has become the first corporate sponsor to support the Foundationís
effort to document the history of drag racing and the performance aftermarket.
ìI am so pleased to have Moroso become a part of this effort,î said Ms. Hrudka. ìMoroso Performance Products has been a key
component of the growth of the performance aftermarket. Dick (Moroso) was one of the pioneers who epitomize what the PROJECT 1320
effort is about.
ìDick was a fearsome competitor with his Modified Eliminator Corvettes on the NHRA circuit, and he was just as fearsome as a
businessman, growing his company and the industry. I have to believe Dick would be justifiably pleased to see his company be
the first to support this effort.
ìI want to thank his son, Rick and Thor Schroeder, Morosoís Director of Sales & Marketing for their belief in and support of
this undertaking.î
ìMoroso Performance Products is proud of our role in the industry and for what the industry is today,î said Rick Moroso. ìWhen
approached about this project we knew that the story had to be told and what better way than by the people who were part of it.
ìWe are excited about helping write the next chapter and for our role in helping preserve the history of Drag Racing and the industry
built from it.î
The Quarter Mile Entertainment Foundation is a pending 501(c)(3)not-for-profit foundation, which is producing PROJECT 1320, a documentary
film series about the history of drag racing and the parallel growth of the performance automotive aftermarket.
