Project 1320 Heads to York U.S. 30 Reunion

The Quarter Mile Foundation, producers of the PROJECT 1320 drag racing documentary film series will be participating in the 9th
Annual York U.S. 30 Reunion/Muscle Car Madness July 9 and 10, at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds in York, Pa.
“The York U.S. 30 Reunion has been a fixture of the drag racing nostalgia events on the East Coast for nearly 10 years and is one of the most
important events in the country,” said Traci Hrudka, Quarter Mile Foundation chairman. “Darwin Doll, who has been at the helm of this
important event for many years, has invited the Foundation to be a part of the celebration of the cars and stars from up and down the East Coast.”
“Darwin serves on the Foundationís advisory board and shares the vision regarding the need for the goal of PROJECT 1320 to tell the story of the
sport using the pioneers and the legends of drag racing from its earliest days. We see the York U.S. 30 Reunion event as a terrific opportunity to
present our message to the fans and the racers who attended and raced at events at the nearby York U.S. 30 Dragway, the Pocono Drag Lodge, and many
other East Coast strips, which are now just memories.”
This year's event will feature a salute to the race cars and their drivers who flew the Chevrolet bow-tie, as well as the racers who competed
in Junior Stock classes. The event sees many racing legends in attendance such as Sam Auxier, Jr., Wally Bell, Wally Booth, "Bunny" Burkett,
George Cureton, Chick DeNinno, Bud Faubel, Bob Harrap, Ed Hedrick, Joe Jacono, Bruce Larson, Jim & Alison Lee, Ed Miller, Ken Montgomery, Tom Raley,
Tom Sneden, John Troxell, Arlen Vanke, Jack Werst, plus the "Voice of Drag Racing," Jon Lundberg and "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter,"
Linda Vaughn, plus others.
The Quarter Mile Foundation/PROJECT 1320 booth will be located near the entrance to the York Expo Center. Linda Vaughn and several of her
"friends" will be signing autographs periodically during the day, Friday and Saturday.
