Quarter Mile Foundation receives support donation from Strange Engineering

Parma Heights, Ohio (June 23, 2011) – The Quarter Mile Foundation has announced it has received a generous donation from Strange Engineering (Morton Grove, IL), the well known manufacturer of axles, differential assemblies and suspension components for sportsman and professional drag racers. Strange Engineering's President, Jeff Stange, commented, "Strange Engineering feels support of the Quarter Mile Foundation's PROJECT 1320 documentary series is a very important duty for the sport and the industry. We made this donation in support of the Foundation after discussions with Traci (Hrudka) and gaining an understanding of the goals of the Foundation and the documentary. As I reflect upon the legends that have passed away, many of them our early customers and business contemporaries of my father (Bob Stange), I realize how precious the stories of these people would have been. "I also realize just how important it is to get the first-person memories of these guys, and make this documentary which will tell those who follow in their footsteps how and why our sport and industry grew. We need to protect these memories of 'how it was' and have the memories of those we have lost told by their surviving contemporaries before it becomes too late." Foundation Chairman, Traci Hrudka said, "The support we have received from Strange Engineering, and company President Jeff Stange has allowed the Foundation to continue to capture first person interviews of the surviving pioneers of drag racing and the automotive performance aftermarket. In fact, the Strange Engineering donation allowed the Foundation to interview 16 important racers at the NHRA's Holley Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Raceway (Bowling Green, KY) on June 16 through 18."

Become a part of sharing our history, for today, tomorrow and the future generations!
